The S.P. Germain Match Play began in the 1950s and is the oldest match play event held in Toledo.
Entry forms are available at www.toledometrogolf.com and will be accepted until June 29.
The S.P. Germain Match Play will begin on July 6 at Ottawa Park Golf Club. The first round features a medal play format to seed players into the correct brackets.
The match play portion will begin July 7 and continue July 12-14.
Players are placed into a bracket based on their first-round score and will continue to advance by winning their match.
All entrants receive a Trail Pass from Traditions Golf, which can be redeemed for one free round at South Toledo, Detwiler, Collins Park or Ottawa Park.
Top finishers in each bracket will receive gift certificates as prizes.
The Toledo Metro Golf Association offers area golfers a chance to test their skills against other amateur golfers. They have scratch and handicap divisions at each of their tournaments.
They host eight one-day events at some of the best public golf courses in Northwest Ohio. Chippewa, Ottawa, Lenawee, Maumee Bay, Ironwood, Legacy, White Pines and Detwiler are all on the 2013 schedule.
