Some of the Toledo area’s finest chefs will face off this weekend against their peers in Cleveland to support the Culinary Vegetable Institute (CVI).
The collaborative dinner event at 6 p.m. Saturday takes place at CVI, Milan, Ohio. Each chef will present one course for the dinner, with guest judges to decide the winning city.
Toledo-area chefs are: Rob Campbell, Stella’s, Perrysburg; Joseph Jacobsen, Dégagé Jazz Café, Maumee; Kengo Kato, Kengo Sushi & Yakitori; Chris Nixon, Element 112, Sylvania; and Erika Rapp, Registry Bistro.
They will be facing off against Cleveland-area chefs Jonathon Bennett, Moxie; Jeff Jarrett, Amp 150; John Selick, University Hospital’s Ahuja Medical Center; Eric Williams, Momocho; and Matt Del Regno, Levi Restaurants.
