For the third straight week, Rian Pearson has made his mark on the Mid-American Conference.

The sophomore guard earned MAC West Division Player of the Week honors in his third consecutive week as the Rockets split their games against Ohio and Bowling Green.

In the last three weeks, Toledo has won just two of six games yet Pearson’s performance has stuck out. He leads the conference in scoring (17.2 ppg) and is the only player in the league to rank in the top-10 in points, rebounds (8.4) and steals (1.7).

The senior guard averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a pair of Rocket victories last week against Akron and Kent State, which included a career-high 23 points against the Zips.

Ingersoll ranks third in the nation in three-point percentage, hitting nearly 46 percent of her shots behind the arc. Those numbers were bolstered by last week’s success as the senior made 10-of-17 triples (58 percent).

Ingersoll became the third member of the UT women’s basketball team to be named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week in 2012. Previously junior center Yolanda Richardson earned the award twice; sophomore point guard Andola Dortch received it once.

The Rockets (15-7, 8-2 MAC) have a midweek break but return to the court on Feb. 11 when they take on rival and league-unbeaten Bowling Green (20-3, 10-0) at noon at Savage Arena.
