Flights, which started June 1, were offered Mondays and Fridays out of Toledo Express Airport. June 29 will be the last day of service.
The cancelation was announced June 21 in a news release from the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, which manages Toledo Express Airport on behalf of the City of Toledo.

“We are disappointed to learn that Vision Airlines has decided to terminate its service between Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Toledo Express Airport as of June 29, 2012,” read the statement. “Despite the Port Authority’s efforts to support this service — through waiving off all airport fees, including landing fees and terminal use fees, and an aggressive advertising and marketing campaign — the traveling public did not support the route to the level necessary to maintain this air service.”
According to the release, Vision Airlines will be contacting via telephone customers who are impacted by the termination so alternate arrangements can be made. Any affected customer can also contact Vision directly at (877) 359-2538.
A representative from Vision Airlines was unable to be reached for comment.
