Oregon man wins second six-figure jackpotWritten by Staff Reports | | firstname.lastname@example.org
Since winning a $100,000 jackpot in June 2012, Martin Halka of Oregon has held the record for the largest jackpot won at Hollywood Casino Toledo.
That is, until the afternoon of July 9 — when he broke his own record, hitting a $250,000 jackpot on a Triple Diamond game, according to a news release from the casino.
“It took me a couple seconds to realize what was happening,” the 42-year-old said in the release. “You always hope to hit the big one, but never expect it to actually happen.”
Halka and his wife, Darcy, said they plan to use the money to expand their company, Bay Area Concrete.
Since opening May 29, 2012, Hollywood Casino Toledo has paid out more than $46 million in jackpots, according to the release.
