Several events are planned to support the sale of “Holiday Wishes 3: If You Believe,” a Make-A-Wish Foundation benefit CD. The two-disc CD costs $10 and features tracks contributed by 45 local artists and media personalities. All proceeds will go to the local chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation, which serves 21 counties in Northwest Ohio and grants about 65 wishes a year for children ages 2 1/2 to 18 who have life-threatening illnesses, said development associate Callie Cannon.
On Dec. 20, Lily’s will host a Holiday Wishes Open House, featuring live entertainment from Estar Cohen Project, one of the artists on the CD, from 5-8 p.m. There will also be wine and cheese and door prizes. Carriage rides will be available from 5-8 p.m. as well.
On Dec. 21, everyone that purchases a CDs at Yogurt Vi between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. will get a coupon for a free yogurt.
At Levis Commons, the CD is available at the management office as well as Blue Pacific Grill, Build It, C Sterling Jewelers, Flying Joe, Lily’s, Poco Piatti, Salvatore Capelli Hair Spa, Second Sole, Vivian Kate and Yankee Candle. The CD is also available at ProMedica Flower Hospital gift shop and the Make-A-Wish Foundation office in Arrowhead Park.
The CD makes a great stocking stuffer while benefiting a great cause, said Casey Pogan, marketing director at The Town Center at Levis Commons.
Since its start in 2011, the CD project, organized by Toledo Free Press Editor in Chief Michael S. Miller, has raised more than $34,000 for Make-A-Wish and sold more than 3,000 CDs, Cannon said.
