The Toledo Metro Golf Association will hold its first event April 21 at Chippewa Golf Club.

The 2012 tournament schedule includes 13 events culminating with the Metro Finale on Sept. 23 at Valleywood in Swanton.

Other area courses hosting Toledo Metro tournaments include Ottawa Park, Red Hawk Run, Lenawee Country Club, The Legacy, Stone Ridge, Indianbrook and Ironwood.

The TMGA also hosts the S.P. Jermain Match Play, one of the oldest tournaments in the country.

The association is a place for amateur golfers to test their skills against other golfers in Northwest Ohio.

Every event offers two divisions, scratch and handicap.

The TMGA has players who range from a +1 to a 30 handicap.
