Apartheid, “From South Africa to Israel,” to be discussed at UT

Several groups have organized a panel discussion called “Confronting Apartheid: From South Africa to Israel” set for Feb. 27 at the University of Toledo Law School Auditorium.

Carter Wilson, a political science professor; Morris Jenkins, a criminal justice professor; Dwight Haase, a sociology professor; and Butheina Hamdah, a senior in political science, will discuss social movements and similarities between apartheids in South Africa and Israel at the event.

The University of Toledo Chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, African People’s Association, Black Student Union and Student African American Brotherhood are putting on the discussion.

The free event starts at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at the UT Law School Auditorium. Refreshments will be provided. UT is at 2801 W. Bancroft St., Toledo.
