‘Ground-barking’ ceremony for new dog park set for Aug. 16Written by Staff Reports | | email@example.com
A “ground-barking” ceremony will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at the future site of a dog park in South Toledo.
Glass City Dog Park, under construction at the former South Toledo YMCA property at Woodsdale Park off the Anthony Wayne Trail, is scheduled to open this fall.
“Things are getting exciting, things are moving along,” said Stephen Serchuk of Toledo Unleashed, the group working to put in the park.
Employees from Toledo Fence were at the site Aug. 8 putting in fencing and Serchuk said water lines for drinking fountains have been installed as well.
Aug. 16 will be the first day memberships will be available, Serchuk said.
