Latta to host three listening sessions about VA issuesWritten by Staff Reports | | firstname.lastname@example.org
Rep. Bob Latta will hold three listening sessions for veterans in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District on May 27.
These events are an opportunity for Congressman Latta to hear veterans’ concerns and experiences with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as any other issues they may be experiencing, according to a news release. Staff will also be on-site to assist with casework.
“Recent revelations about the VA’s mishandling of veterans’ care are absolutely unacceptable,” Latta said in the release. “We owe our veterans an enormous debt of gratitude, and we must do everything in our power to ensure they receive the care they have earned in service to our country. This situation demands immediate attention, and these listening sessions will provide an opportunity for me to hear from our veterans about the issues they’re having with the VA, so we can rectify them as quickly as possible.”
The sessions will be held:
- 9-10 a.m. May 27 at Perrysburg American Legion Post #28, 120 W. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg.
- 11 a.m.-noon May 27 at Findlay American Legion Post #3, 120 W. Front St., Findlay.
- 2-3 p.m. May 27 at Defiance Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3360, 201 Clinton St., Defiance.
Veterans do not need to RSVP, but can contact Latta’s office at (800) 541-6446 for more information.
