Columbia Gas of Ohio’s e-bill program to help Red Cross
Written by Staff Reports | | news@toledofreepress.comColumbia Gas of Ohio announced that for every customer who enrolls in its free direct e-bill paperless service before March 31, it will donate $5 to area Red Crosses.
The funds will go to helping provide services and training in areas like disaster preparedness, relief and recovery assistance and first aid and CPR training.
“We’ve all witnessed the devastating effects of natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy and other emergency events on a national scale,” said Columbia Gas of Ohio President Jack Partridge in a news release. “But, it’s important that we’re prepared if something happens in our own backyard. The Red Cross is the organization that can help.”
“Disasters like fires, floods and winter storms affect us nearly every day,” said Tim Yenrick, CEO of American Red Cross Northwest Ohio Region. “Support from generous partners like Columbia Gas allows us to continue to provide services to people in our community at a time when they need it the most.”
Instead of receiving a paper bill in the mail, customers who opt for the e-bill receive an e-mail notification that their utility bill is available to view. Visit www.columbiagasohio.com and select “Manage Your Account” to sign up for the e-bill services.
