One needs to factor into any discussion of guns, the millions of crimes that are prevented by those who have them. Ask a rape victim if by having a gun, would that have made a difference ? Ask someone living 30+ minutes from Law enforcement, if having a gun gives them a measure of Peace ! etc. Psychopaths with BIG or little sanguinary intentions will find a way to leave Earth,in a blaze of self delusional Glory.
