“Adidas micoach” (505 Games)
Trying to lose those holiday pounds or maintain your weight over winter? “Adidas miCoach” on the PlayStation 3 (PlayStation Move required) and Xbox 360 (Kinect required). Additional equipment like dumbbells and stability balls are also needed. Players could also use a rolled towel as a pad or a chair or stand for support. The hands free Kinect definitely recommended while the PlayStation Move works well especially if you have a large workout area for the camera to track your movements.
This interactive training system video game includes hundreds of exercises and covers five sports: basketball, football, running, soccer, and tennis. This authentic and authorized technical sports-training program brings a whole new level of interactivity to your training regime with full body optical tracking.
Player can test their reaction times, strength, and endurance with Olympians Ana Ivanovic (tennis), Andrea Petkovic (tennis), Fernando Verdaso (tennis), Jessica Ennis (track & field) and Tyson Gay (track & field) plus Kaka, Dwight Howard, Manuel Neuer, Jose Mourinho, Will Genia, Eric Berry, and others. Players can start exercises any time, get details or skip exercise as well as taking advantage of flexible down time that allows players to exercise at their own pace.
Players can view their statistics, log activity and manage schedules and plans from web-capable devices. Look for incorporated capabilities like the add-a-cardio program that use the adidas miCoach smartphone app, miCoach Pacer or miCoach SPEED_CELL (sold separately). Add on downloadable content is also available.
Gameplay expands nicely with special social networks, updates, and communities. Players earn Fit Points and awards for each activity. Recommended and well developed by Lightning Fish who released the Mel B fitness games. An enjoyable way to stay in shape at an affordable suggested retail price of $29.99 (***, rated E).
