Gift-wrapping event to help needy family
Written by Staff Reports | | news@toledofreepress.comAnyone needing to get a gift wrapped who also wants to help out a needy family can head to Vin Devers Autohaus of Sylvania on Dec. 15.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 15, gift-wrappers will be on site at 5570 Monroe St., Sylvania. There is a limit of three gifts per person. Donations will be accepted and go toward helping a local family in need.
“These people can’t do some things they’d like to do for their child,” said “Detail” David Nash, who manages the detail center.
Vin Devers donates to several causes, but wanted to do something more hands on, Nash said.
“We had been talking about doing something like [the gift-wrapping event],” he said. “We finally got it put together this year. We just wanted to help somebody out.”
