The Golf Performance Institute of Toledo, known as The Golf PIT, will host its grand opening Dec. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. During the opening weekend, guests will receive a free medium bucket of balls.
The Golf PIT, 1610 Market Place Drive, in Maumee, was formerly the Maumee SportsMall Driving Range. New owners David Graf, director of golf, and Jim McGurk, director of instruction, have remodeled, updated and made improvements to what was already one of the area’s best practice facilities.
Graf has been the head professional at Inverness Club for the past 19 years. McGurk was the director of instruction at Inverness.
New mats have been added to the indoor as well as the outdoor hitting areas. New overhead heaters will provide a comfortable hitting area for the winter months in the enclosed stalls.
The newly remodeled and fully stocked pro shop features every brand and type of club, bag, ball or other need that a golfer may have.
