$1.84/gallon “Gas We Can” Promotion Set For Thursday October 11th
TOLEDO, OH (October 8, 2012) – NewsTalk 1370 WSPD and Gas Can Man are cutting the price of gasoline to the January, 2009 price of $1.84 at 4 pm Thursday October 11th for 100 lucky drivers at a gas station location in Toledo. The specific location of the gas station where the “Gas We Can” promotion will take place will be announced during the Brian Wilson show on 1370 WSPD Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. live on the air and the gas will start flowing at 4 pm.
“High gas prices have been one of the main topics of concern that our listeners have expressed in the last few months and we are going to do something about it for one morning for 150 of our neighbors,” NewsTalk 1370 WSPD afternoon host Brian Wilson said in announcing the price roll-back. “While Washington argues about billions and trillions of dollars they need to remember that the $60 or so many people are now paying to fill up their tanks is about double what it was just a few years ago — and that extra $30 or more each week is REAL money that has a serious impact on our families and our economy.”
The first 100 drivers who arrive at the location after the announcement Thursday afternoon will have the opportunity to purchase a maximum of 15 gallons of regular unleaded fuel at the “rollback” price of $1.84. Brian Wilson will be on site throughout the afternoon along with Gas Can Man, who is co-hosting the event. For details about Gas Can Man, go to www.gascanman.com
