Page cut by Broncos after tearing ACLWritten by Zach Davis | | firstname.lastname@example.org
Almost three months after being passed over in the NFL Draft, Toledo’s all-time leading receiver was cut on July 25 by the Denver Broncos after tearing his ACL. He signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent on April 28.
After the announcement, Page wrote on Twitter, “Thanks everyone for the prayers, it will be a process but I promise I wont quit got too many people depending on me!”
Page made a controversial decision to forgo his senior season on Jan. 11 and enter the NFL Draft after the NFL Draft Advisory Committee projected he would be a mid-round pick. After not being drafted, Page signed with the Broncos for the lowest signing bonus on the team at $1,085.
Page left the Rockets with 306 catches, 43 behind NCAA record holder Ryan Broyles (Oklahoma, 2008-11). He also departed the school tied with WMU’s Jordan White for the conference reception record.
