Toledoans looking to go where it’s warmer have another option with Vision Airlines now offering nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The airline will offer Boeing 737 jet service flights between Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Toledo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, Ky., Nashville, Tenn. and Springfield, Ill. The flights run from May 31- Oct. 31 and tickets are on sale now, starting at $109 each way.
The first Toledo flight leaves Toledo Express Airport at 2:15 p.m. June 1. As of now, flights between Myrtle Beach and Toledo are only available Mondays and Fridays. Myrtle Beach is the only destination from Toledo being offered so far from Vision Airlines.
About 14 million vacationers visit Myrtle Beach every year, according to a news release.
“We are excited to welcome Vision Airlines to MYR (Myrtle Beach International Airport) and we are confident that the markets that they’ve chosen will provide terrific opportunities for both Vision Airlines and our destination,” said Director of Airports at MYR Mike La Pier. “It’s been our goal … to continue to work to bring new visitors to our destination with increased air service.”
“Vision Airlines’ nonstop, big jet, Boeing 737 service will save passengers time and money, making flying a more attractive option for traveling to Myrtle Beach this summer,” said Senior Vice President of Vision Airlines David Meers.
The airline has been in business for about 18 years. Its fleet includes 19-passenger and 30-passenger Dornier turboprops, Boeing 737s and wide-body Boeing 767s. Vision Airlines has offices in Las Vegas, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. For more information visit www.visionairlines.com.
