Toledo grabbed its third win out of four games when it topped Dayton 7-4 on the road on March 14.
Sophomore Ryan Wilkinson (2-1) grabbed his second victory on the season, giving up just one run and eight hits on 5.2 innings.
Senior second baseman Joe Corfman continued his hot streak, recording two hits in five at bats while crossing the place twice. Corfman is leading the Rockets with a .344 batting average, 20 runs and three home runs on the season. No other UT player even has a double digit total in runs.
Senior first baseman Mark Lapikas (1 for 4) and freshman shortstop Dan Zuchowski (1 for 4) also each had two runs against the Flyers. Sophomore catcher James Miglin (3 for 5) led the team with three hits and junior right fielder Andy Mix (2 for 4, R) drove in two.
Returning from an arm injury for the first time this season was senior starter Lincoln Rassi, who pitched one perfect inning in relief.
Toledo now heads to Xavier (4-11) this weekend for a three-game series beginning at 3 p.m. March 16. The series will be its last of an 18-game road trip to start the season before UT makes its home debut on March 21 against Oakland.
