Hollywood Casino takes delivery of slot machinesWritten by Jason Mack | | firstname.lastname@example.org
Hollywood Casino Toledo took another step toward completion March 5 with the delivery of 554 slot machines.
“We have to get them set on the bases and put the player tracking kits in,” general manager Mike Galle said. “Everything has to be mounted. After that we put the e-prompt software in which controls the game themes themselves. We’ll get the games set up, establish our criteria, get the e-prompts set up and we’ll be ready for testing. Once they are tested, we’ll be ready for live play.”
The casino will feature more than 2,000 total slot machines with the rest being delivered by March 21. Once the slot machines are in place, the casino will begin installing the table games.
“We expect about 85 percent of our revenue to come from the slot floor and 15 percent from the table games,” Galle said. “The majority of players coming will be playing slots.”
The slot machines will include themed games featuring movies and TV shows such as “The Hangover,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Wheel of Fortune.” Most of the machines are video-based to allow for a variety of ways to play.
“There are a lot of bonus features on games today,” Galle said. “When you get into a bonus screen, it allows you an opportunity to win additional credits. They are video games kind of like what you’d play on XBox. You get an extra bonus scene or free spins, and it accumulates credits relatively quickly. They are a lot of fun to play. It’s not just like a traditional reel game.”
