Page receives invite to 2012 NFL CombineWritten by Zach Davis | | email@example.com
After forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft, former Toledo wide receiver Eric Page received an invite Jan. 25 to participate in the 2012 NFL Combine.
Page will show off his skills and perform drills for representatives for all 32 teams. More than 300 top prospects for the upcoming draft will be invited to the event, held from Feb. 22-28 in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and televised on NFL Network.
Page decided to leave for the draft after the NFL Draft Advisory Board projected him to be drafted between the third and fifth rounds. He leaves Toledo with 306 catches — just 43 behind NCAA record-holder Ryan Broyles (Oklahoma, 2008-11). He also is tied for the Mid-American Conference reception record with Jordan White (Western Michigan, 2007-11).
