Associate Director Amy Gilman of the Toledo Museum of Art was chosen to participate in the Museum Leadership Institute of the Getty Leadership Institute. Gilman was one of just 30 individuals from seven nations selected, including the only one from Ohio.

“We’re delighted that our colleague Dr. Amy Gilman has been selected from a competitive field to attend the Getty Leadership Institute this summer,” Toledo Museum of Art Director Brian Kennedy said. “This program is rightly regarded as a true leader in the development of museum professionals from around the world.”

Participants are chosen from their ability to influence policy and effect change at their institutions.”

Gilman joined the Museum in 2005 and was named associate director earlier this year where she has been involved with the artist-in-residence program in the Glass Pavilion. She earned a doctorate in art history from Case Western Reserve University.

The Institute takes place at Claremont Graduate University in California from June 18 – July 8.
