To take that a step further: What principles are the Reverend McGlade willing to sacrifice in the name of nuance? Maybe I'm not nuanced enough, but since "nuance" is defined in part as "sensibility to, awareness of, or ability to express delicate shadings," I fail to see how refusing to compromise on principles is a fault. I also fail to see how it even qualifies as being nuanced.

Query:
"...the people who give me the most trouble are those who can’t nuance. They cling to their absolutes and refuse to compromise. To do so would be a violation of their principles. I want to respect that, after all, I have principles too. But sometimes we have to give a little here or there to get something done"

Really? "...give a little" on "principles"?
Hmmmm....Just how "nuanced" was Jesus?
