Apparently the shutting down of restaurants and businesses throughout the city has gone unnoticed through his rose colored glasses. As far as the Jeep plant is concerned the taxpayers of this city paid an enormous price to keep Jeep. A large part of the problem with the school finances in this city can be directly attributed to the corporate welfare doled in the form of tax cuts out to keep the plant in operation. Perhaps the honorable gentleman can ask the solar company that benefited from taxpayers money and University of Toledo research to not build its new plant in China but rather on the site of the old Jeep plant.
