Penn National Gaming is planning to raise the issue of moving Toledo Raceway Park to Ohio State Racing Commission at the commission’s Feb. 10 meeting.
Youngstown newspaper,The Vindicator, reported that State Rep. Robert F. Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th, and state Sen. Joe Schiavoni of Canfield, D-33rd, told The Vindicator on Feb. 2 that Penn National Gaming Inc., will discuss the move with the commission.
The company wants to build the racetrack in the Youngstown area Hagan and Schiavoni said.
The Vindicator also reported that Penn National had been discussing the potential move with legislators for almost a year and that the last meeting between them and Penn National was Feb. 1.
