Dee Pakulski, the founder of Honor Flight Northwest Ohio, has announced her resignation as President, effective April 16, according to a news release issued April 14. According to the release, board member and Finance Director Lee Armstrong “will take over the reins of the all-volunteer organization which is dedicated to flying veterans to Washington, D.C. to see their memorials.”
“I deeply regret making this announcement,” Pakulski said in the release, “but due to increased family demands I am unable to devote the same amount of quality time to Honor Flight this season.”
“We will do everything in our power to ensure that not only will the veterans be treated with respect, but that their safety will be paramount,” Armstrong said in the release.
