Congrats to our Libbey grads. Asking if they can make contacts to their friends to spread the wordabout the possible closing of Libbey High School.
·I attended the Public School's Board of Education meeting at Rogers. Our Libbey presentation needs to be bolstered with an all out effort to the Board of Education with emails and/ or letters (but emails will get there quicker). I am asking you to share this message with everyone you know ever connected to the school or the neighborhood. Share a positive message as to why Libbey an inner city urban south end school should be kept open. Emphasize anything positive that you currently know of or possible solutions. Make it short and sweet.

·The members of the Toledo Board of Education can be contacted through email at www.tps.org/Board_of_Education/ This address likely will need to be copied and pasted! On the page the word "Email' printed in blue can be clicked on which then leads you to the page which allows you to type in your message directly onto the comment box. If for some reason this process does not work for you, I would encourage you not to give up. Write the letter and get it to the Board ASAP.

·Superintendent John Foley can be reached at john.foley@tps.org His phone number is 419-671-8281. Fax number is 419-671-8392.
·If you can fax, use it

·If there ever was a time to really pull out a little payback to Libbey, now is the time. Please take some time away from the madness this weekend and recall what helped you develop into who you are. We have the luxury of having lived this long to offer what we consider to be important. It may be one of the most important emails or letters that you have every composed.

·Sending copies of letters to The Blade and all the other media would be helpful, too! But they need to be out immediately!

·This Tuesday March 23rd is the Toledo Public Schools Board of Education Meeting where decisions will be made.
·Time: 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m (Get there as early as you can)
Place: Thurgood Marshall Bldg., 420 E. Manhattan Blvd. Meetings are open to the public.

·If you speak at this meeting you need to contact them in advance: To speak before the Board, please contact the TPS Treasurer, Dan Romano, at the Thurgood Marshall Bldg.before noon on the meeting day. Call 419-671-8245. You will be asked to identify yourself, any organization you represent, and the topic you wish to speak about. At the meeting, you may want to provide15 copies of any material for distribution. Your presentation should be no longer than 3 minutes choose to
Please keep the message going. choose to

Thanks for your consideration and for your hard work with basketball and for representing your community so well...all of you.
