Is this a poor joke?
This comment was posted on December 4th, 2009 at 12:32 pmYes, actually, it is. But who’s laughing?
This comment was posted on December 4th, 2009 at 2:47 pmIt is a joke, and a poor joke at that. Go as far to say the stories written about those on the “hit list” were down right laughable. But no, they were not funny. They were meant to destroy the reputations of people that dared to care about their community. People that had neighbors and children and grandchildren and family. People that had to endure reading lies about themselves. The malignant cancer of this community is the daily newspaper. Where are the honorable people, leaders of the community when it comes to standing up to them, standing for right? They stay quiet or they appease in fear they will be the next on the list.
You go Michael!!

This comment was posted on December 6th, 2009 at 9:23 pmKathy, you are absolutely right. But, sadly for them, as their circulation numbers prove – this isn’t working anymore. But on a brighter note – I have heard that a local daily is going to start in Toledo soon. A daily that’s seen the truck tricks etc. etc. ad nauseum.
It’s about time a big boy came to town.

Sign me up first with this big boy’s paper and tell him I will go door to door to market for him, free of charge!

Media to blame or the activists?
This comment was posted on December 9th, 2009 at 9:57 pmMedia.
The activists have been had.
3 activists and 2 elected officials can’t support an entire Y location.

And now, we see that there is not enough community support for the location, and declining enrollment was the root cause.
“but with only 111 new members sold to date,”
