Horses and Mannheim Steamroller -- what a combination! I can recall whistling the melody from the latest Mannheim Steamroller album (#3), while longing my dressage horse in 1979. This music has been part of my life for most of my life, as have the horses. I had to give up the horses due to a neck injury, and moved to writing and music. I'm so sorry to hear that Chip Davis has lost the ability to play his music, ironically due to a similar injury, obtained in a similar manner, but hey, he's got horses! I can't think of a better direction to take. I'd still rather have the horses though.

Mannheim Steamroller and horses, my two favorite things. This music makes fantastic background music for whatever musical freestyle performance your horse might perform. I always envisioned a Friesian working to something from #2. Can't remember which door, but you'll know it when you hear it. And now Chip Davis has a horse to go with it. How perfect is that?

Looking forward to seeing this year's Christmas concert this month.

I have very fond memories of Sylvania High School A Capella Choir under Louis Davis' direction in the early 70's. Once in a while, he would announce that his son, Chip Davis, (who was early into his composing days then) was coming in to teach us a new song he wrote. They were different, amazing and fun to sing. Who knew then, that we were in the presence of greatness! Love Mannheim Steamroller!
