Who said makeovers are just for women? It is time for all the men step it up a notch. The shower, shave and go look are in the past. Times have changed and expectations have gone up. Women want to go out for the night on the town with a man on her arm that looks great. We had a bit of a challenge a few weeks back for a makeover. Jeff McGinnis a new member of Toledo Free Press was in a bit of a need for our help and a new look. We took on the challenge and have a few tips for anyone looking for ideas on how to get a new look in a short amount of time.

When Jeff walked in the salon, we found out we only had about an hour to work our magic. We put our 911-makeover plan into play right away. He was overdue for a haircut that shaped his face properly. Ali put away the clippers and decided he needed a scissor over comb cut to work with the shape of his face and head. Getting the proper style for your face will make a big change. Have your stylist explain and show you how to recreate your look at home when styling your new hairstyle. Working on a short time schedule highlights/lowlights were not possible. Ali explained to Jeff how a little bit of dimension in his color would be a great addition to his look for his next visit.

Jeff still had some transformation to go through to get his finished look. Alli took his uni-brow and turned it into two great looking eyebrows. Waxing can open up the eyes and really make a big difference. Don’t worry guy’s women have been waxing for years it’s really not that bad! The nose is another place those annoying little hairs like to peek out so don’t forget to get them trimmed or waxed. Jeff looked like he was a new man when he was done. We guarantee all the pain was worth the new look.

Little changes can make a big difference for men. You don’t have to turn into a salon and spa addict to look good. Keeping your cut updated along with getting your waxing done will do wonders. Don’t forget about your fingers and toes. Many salons have manicures and pedicures just for men. If you really want to feel and look great finish your look with a facial and skin care routine. Before leaving the salon remember to purchase the products used for your new look. Purchasing a gift card or a pampering gift for your wife before leaving will make you the man of the hour.
