Owens-Illinois hosted a luncheon Aug. 20 to honor the service of hundreds of Toledo area retirees at the company’s world headquarters in Perrysburg.
Approximately 300 retirees gathered on the O-I campus for the annual event to share memories and learn about the company’s new global initiatives from O-I executives, according to a press release.
Rich Crawford, president of O-I Global Glass Operations, and Ed White, O-I chief financial officer, spoke to the retirees about the corporate initiatives.
The retirees toured O-I’s facilities including the new Ideation Center and met with innovation team leaders at the center.
The retirees are members of the company’s Golden Emblem Club and heard from Monica Benezette, president of the club, and Jennie Vancil, O-I community relations director at the event.
