A July 14 e-mail reported that the five members of Teamwork Toledo, a Toledo city coalition, have submitted their petition signatures to the Lucas County Board of Elections. Effective immediately, it said, the group will join November’s City Council race, vying for its six contested Councilman at large seats.

The e-mail said Teamwork Toledo is a group of fiscal conservatives advocating limited government, less taxes and back-to-basics principles. The group is comprised of organizer Tricia Lyons, speaker and winner of the best Patriot outfit John Adams, speaker Mike Watson, reporter Kevin Milliken and local business man and entrepreneur Ty Daniels, it said. All five are now on the ballot for Sept. 15’s primary election, it said.

The group is also hosting a fundraiser 5:30 to 7 p.m. July 20 at The Attic above Mano’s Greek Restaurant at 1701 Adams St. in Toledo. Admission costs $20 and includes appetizers, the e-mail said. It said the event would also have a cash bar.

All proceeds, the e-mail said, would go towards Teamwork Toledo’s expenses such as yard signs and business cards.
