Main Library to host fundraiser on the roof
Written by Caitlin McGlade | | news@toledofreepress.comThe Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will host its sixth annual party on the roof on July 18 to raise money for youth programs.
“A Midsummer Night Up On the Roof” will feature dancing, food, raffles, a cash bar, some other “surprises” and live music from Hepcat Revival and the Urban Jazz Collective. The evening festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the roof of the Main Library at 325 Michigan St.
Tickets are $75 and all proceeds will benefit youth programs such as summer reading clubs for children, said Kathryn Fell, development coordinator for the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.
To follow the library’s “taking you places” theme, the raffle prize will be a train ride from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Chicago, Illinois and two nights at a hotel in the downtown area, she added.
Last year, 300 people attended the event, she said.
