A July 2 press release said JetAmerica will delay its flights between July 13 and August 14 at all airports it services. The 30-day delay is caused by unanticipated complications with landing and take-off times at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport, the release said. It said all passengers who booked flights with JetAmerica between those dates will receive refunds.
The release said JetAmerica is e-mailing refund statements to the 6,486 passengers who booked flights July 13 through Aug. 13. Refund credits will arrive in seven to 14 days, it said.
JetAmerica also has special offers for ticketholders rebooking its flights after the delay, the release said. The release said passengers with delayed flights can call (727)-451-3970 and expect a waived $10 reservations convenience fee, a waived $20 fee for the first piece of checked luggage and a waived $10 fee for seat assignments.
In addition, the release said, Toledo Express Airport is also giving out extra services to its customers inconvenienced by the scheduling conflict. The release said Toledo Express would cover consultation fees between its rebooking customers and Atlas World Travel agents. Toledo Express will also grant delayed passengers vouchers authorizing five days of free parking at the airport.
The release said Toledo Express passengers looking for consultations with Atlas World must e-mail their booking confirmation, daytime phone number and e-mail address to Atlas World at email@example.com.
Passengers seeking free parking at Toledo express must e-mail their booking confirmation, proof of ticket purchase, daytime phone number and e-mail address to firstname.lastname@example.org, the release said.
