Alan W. Brass, ProMedica Health System CEO, and Randy Oostra, president and COO, announced a reorganization of its corporate and regional management on July 1.

“ProMedica has a strong succession planning program and this reorganization helps us continue to navigate this challenging period in health care, as well as helps guarantee that our leadership is poised appropriately to meet the challenges that are ahead,” Brass said in a news release.

“The last year has been one of the most changing and challenging that our industry and nation have ever endured,” Oostra said in the same release, adding, “ProMedica’s strength has remained solid because we have made the prudent and, at times, difficult decisions that were required to ensure our mission and core values could be met each day. Patient care remains our No. 1 focus.”

According to the news release, “the reorganization, which includes 21 leadership team members who will serve in new roles and/or will have added responsibilities, is effective July 13. New presidential appointments at ProMedica hospitals, all reporting to Barbara Steele, regional president, PHS, include: Tim Jakacki, Bixby and Herrick Medical Centers in Adrian and Tecumseh, Michigan; Kevin Webb, The Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children’s Hospital; Alan Sattler, Flower Hospital in Sylvania; and Dan Schwanke, Fostoria Community Hospital.”
