After having viewed the controversial video,I am of the view that this was a video for a “Comedy Skit”! True it was done inconsiderately and an “Apology Was Given!” The most important fact’s to consider and abbreviate are;”There are much bigger problems facing the City of Toledo,such as increasing Police Protection and decrease the need for Neighborhood Protection Group’s.” Make Toledo a place where your children will be proud to say;”I am from Toledo and I want to stay here!” There are many “former resident’s of this city that left because it was too repressive for the growth of the youthful vitality that is often the life blood of any society that wants to prosper and grow. It is time for new blood and new ideas that will make this city a place that my Grand Children will be proud to call HOME!” The world is a very different place than it was when I was young in the 70’s. Toledo must change and keep pace with the rest of the world, or,….”Think about it and you decide!”

It was an ideal I presented to him as a potential buusiness consultancy and he back doored the concept for a Monday Morning press opportunity!

I was born in Toledo and am 52 years old. I left this city as soon as I turned 18 and joined the Navy. The reasons being that those in power were often against Black People getting ahead economically,and getting decent job’s. I was a child of the 70’s when the City of Toledo Demolished every Black Business from Collingwood and Dorr St.,to Dorr and Detroit Ave. In the Navy,I was trained as a Aviation Boatswains Mate/Fire Fighter. The City was accepting application’s and giving the physical test to applicant’s. I passed all the tests. I awaited the result’s,and later found out that those in power in the T.F.D.hiring their own relatives,and ditching the file cabinets with the application’s of those that passed the test. I was very unhappy because of this,and I promised myself that I may have been born in Toledo,but I’ll be Damned if I die in Toledo. As God would have it,I am back!!! I DISLIKE THE GOOD OL BOY NETWORK VERY MUCH BECAUSE THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN DOUBLE DIPPING,NEPOTISTIC RACISTS!!!!!!! Ben may be young,but to me he represents an opportunity for the younger generation to breathe life back into a City that has so often treated them like Step Children that no one in power cares to hear from. Quite often the older generation wants familiarity as they grow older,and often have shunned others because of their youth and their Ideas. New Ideas,new ways of doing thing’s,new anything are often frightening to those locked in the past. As in Nature,if anything survives,it must be reborn to accommodate the changes required for it’s own survival. I do not want the city that is part of my family to relegate it self to be nothing more than old abandoned factories,closed shopping mall’s (Southwyck turned into a “Green Space with a road through it when it could be a business opportunity for others.),Cemeteries and Nursing Homes!!!! President Obama represents change,Ben Konop represents change! Those that forget the past are destined to repeat it! “I AM A VESSEL THAT WILL BE FILLED WITH CHANGE FOR THE FUTURE,AND A PALL BEARER FOR THE PAST!” AMEN!!!!!!

This will be more of the same it may be somewhat of a different direction but it will still be a declining direction in my opinon, the media really needs to start educating people in this town on what these people are really like and what they stand for. It seems people just blindly vote in this town and we have seen the results.

We just saw his recent plan for EMS in Lucas County to be privatized which was voted down 7-0 by members of both parties so it wasn’t a partisan vote either.

That is just one reason why Konop doesn’t have what it takes to be the Mayor of Toledo. Granted the shoes won’t be hard to fill but lets actually get someone different instead of someone who keeps telling you they are different when they aren’t, didn’t any of you learn your lesson when you voted for Obama?

Maybe someday people will wake up and stop treating Marcy Kaptur, Ben Konop, and Finkbeiner, et al. like Soviet-era commissars. They are public servants who should’ve been thrown out of office for gross incompetence. Instead, a portion of NW Ohio voters just can’t seem to get enough of democrat weasels like this Konop.

Marcy Kaptur is Konop’s political mentor? God help you people if you pull the lever for this unqualified political hack. Konop long ago reached the level of his own incompetence – don’t make things any worse for yourselves. Send him into political oblivion for your sake and for the sake of future generations.
