TechTol Imaging, a company based in Sylvania, will be featured as part of the Dec. 17 episode of “Plugged-In” on WGTE public television at 8 p.m.
“TechTol Imaging’s patent pending image acquisition systems can acquire, process and produce digital rotational images in a matter of seconds,” according to its Web site, techtol.com.
The segment discusses how to create the Third Dimension and how it works.
“I think that TechTol in general is really interesting,” said Susan Ybarra, producer of the segment and associate producer at WGTE. “I think they are going to be a huge player [in the region]. They’re at the jumping point, ready to jump off.”
Ybarra said it will be interesting to see what applications come out of the company’s technology.
The episode will also look at topics of solar energy, cochlear implants for the hearing impaired and the University of Toledo computer program Anatomy Revealed.
“Plugged-In” is a monthly public television program exploring innovations in technology and research throughout the region. It is produced by University of Toledo student reporters and debuted on WGTE in September. New episodes air the third Wednesday of each month at 8 p.m. and re-air the following Sunday.
