Finkbeiner: ‘Not on my watch’
Written by Toledo Free Press Staff Writers | | news@toledofreepress.comToledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner plans a news conference at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in City Council chambers to address the group Take Back Toledo’s recall effort.
“‘Take Back Toledo?’ Not On My Watch!” Finkbeiner was quoted as saying in a news release
“At this press conference, Mayor Finkbeiner will expose the motivations of the founders of this group – none of whose leaders have a vote within, or live within, the City of Toledo,” the news release said.
Take Back Toledo’s mission statement is on its Web site.

Save face, Finkbeiner.
RESIGN NOW !!!!!!
This comment was posted on December 7th, 2008 at 11:04 pmI love how when there’s an issue that benefits the city, Carty’s all about the regionalism. But when the focus is turned back on him, he wants nothing to do with it.
Get out of the way, Mayor.

Looks like we’ll be seeing a few familiar faces – I’ll be there as well.
This comment was posted on December 8th, 2008 at 9:57 amIt’s funny that the “great HE” says, ‘not on my watch’, yet if he had only said ‘not on my watch’ regarding ESM, flowers, bike paths, funding the city through fines and fees….this local version of “operation Valkyrie” wouldn’t be necessary.
