Here’s a question for ya: When’s the last time you heard someone say, “Wow! That Carty Finkbeiner sure is a great mayor!”?

Mayor Carleton “S for Brains” Finkbeiner and his smarmy little army of lobotomized myrmidons have gone on record numerous times — mostly for the entertainment of the journalistically challenged TV “news” media — about the “negativity of WSPD” and recently included, Toledo Free Press.

Fact: “Negative!” is what liberal politicians scream when you accurately expose their failed, immoral, illegal, unconstitutional actions. Taking the lead in the kakistocracy, Finkbeiner refuses to come clean on the important questions. As demonstrated during his recent 13abc “budget interview,” it’s that smelly old red herring: change the subject from the indictable allegation(s) and accuse the interviewer of being “negative” or “playing politics” — which is precisely what Finkbeiner does when faced with the reality of his own incompetence.

Let me put things in perspective: Let’s play the Plus or Minus Game!

Consider the following list of words and phrases that describe the Mayor, Toledo and/or his administration. Correctly identify which words are Positive (+) and which are Negative (-):

• Highest unemployment: +/-
• Pot-holed roads and neglected infrastructure: +/-
• Confiscatory taxes/levies: +/-
• Double-taxed dysfunctional trash pickup: +/-
• Hostile business environment: +/-
• National embarrassment: +/-
• Animal cruelty: +/-
• Fiscal ignorance: +/-
• Unnecessary expensive litigation: +/-
• Economic regression: +/-
• Abuse of power: +/-
• $10 million deficit: +/-
• Anti-social behavior: +/-

Score: If you answered (-) for the preceding 13 words/phrases, congratulations! Proceed to the final question: Which Toledo political leader is singularly responsible for the negatives? (Hint: It isn’t WSPD).

The “negativity” the mayor snits about is a reflection of his own scandalous mismanagement of the governance of Toledo.

Greater Toledo taxpayers have been held hostage to this petty dictator — and his chief benefactor, John Robinson Block — for more than 1,000 days. If you are a business owner, taxpayer or resident who gives a damn about the future, the time has come take back Toledo. Change the negatives to the positives languishing in the great positive potential we preach about at WSPD: the river, lake, port, interstates, rail, airport, water, land, pipe lines and work force. If you think your business, your income, you and your family’s financial future is on the edge right now, give the Finkbeiner-Block-Democrats troika just a few more months. Just imagine the reality of Block’s wet dream: Finkbeiner in the Hartung seat on the port authority board of directors.

Woo-hoo.

Conversely, if you have seen the relentless, inexorable shrinking of Toledo’s economy inflicted by the Finkbeiner “Strong Mayor/Strong Publisher” administration aided and abetted by nonstop Democratic rule, backroom, unaffordable union deals  and you’re sufficiently pissed off, then get off your butt and help Take Back Toledo.
