Finkbeiner declares Nov. 28 ‘Tom Amstutz Day’

Beginning on Thanksgiving Day, all Lamar electronic billboards across the City will beam a special message to Coach Amstutz, in appreciation for his place in Rockets history, according to a news release.
Finkbeiner released the following statement Nov. 26: “Friday, Nov. 28 will be a bittersweet day for Toledo, as Coach Tom Amstutz leads the Rockets into the Glass Bowl for the last time. Friday’s game against the Bowling Green Falcons will mark Coach Amstutz’ 99th game as Rockets coach, but he has always devoted himself 100% to his team and the University of Toledo. We thank Coach “Toledo Tom” Amstutz for leaving behind a coaching legacy built upon strong leadership, inspiration, and Toledo Pride.”
