In 1990 we had 28 children in the state with autism, in 2006 we have 5700! Maryland has not stop using mercury containing vaccines. My friend's child received 10 of them in 2005. The flu vaccine contain 25 mg. of mercury, and so does the tetenus vaccine. Pregnant mother is given these, so the baby is already damaged. In testing the mothers at age thirty, many of them have a mercury burden from their childhoold vaccines and are suffering with depresssion, anxiety, OCD, with are symptoms of mercury poisoning. Rho-gam immunoglobins contained up to 50 - 60 mg. of mercury, these were used until 2002, so the baby is predamaged before birth. Vaccines have never been safety tested together. My son is 21 now, he received 3 MMRs, the second one contaminated with menningitis. He is 80% recovered, due to the DAN protocal, chelation, anti-virals, diet, and healing gastro-intestinal disease. The pediatricians get money for every child fullly vaccinated, it the 65% of there business. The pediatricians are not practicing medicine they are selling drugs, most not approved for children and have and are continuing to damage a generation of children. My only suggestion is that the title should probably be "Dispute over autism link to vaccine increases." If anything, the public is paying more attention to the claims that vaccines cause autism. A recent survey revealed that one in 4 Americans now believe it. Too often all we only get to read about the opinion of health officials, especially those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For years, as the autism rate exploded from one in 10,000 kids in the 1970s to one in every 150 today, the CDC refused to sound any alarm. They still don't know if more kids actually have autism or if they're just the result of '"better diagnosing" and no real increase at all. (The official statistics don't come close to the reality of the autism epidemic. The rate of one in 150 was out of date when it came out in Feb. of 2007. The CDC gave us that figure based on studies of eight year olds done back in 2002 and 2000. Those children are now 14 and 16 years old. This can hardly be considered a true picture of the autism disaster. In Minnesota, the recognized rate is one in every 81 kids. Others put the average rate at one in every 67 children. The CDC has given us years of one study after another, all showing that their vaccine program isn't responsible for the autism epidemic. No one question the fact that we essentually give the CDC oversight over itself. All the science by independent, well-credentialed scientists showing damaging side effects from the vaccine schedule has been mounting for years but is conveniently ignored by the CDC. It should be noted that the CDC is the agency where hundreds of individuals have conflict waivers because of direct financial ties to the vaccine makers. Rebecca Estepp is the voice of reason in the debate. How can anyone oppose the use of safe, non-toxic vaccines? How many parents would be comfortable knowing that almost all flu shots available for their children contain a horrendous level of toxic mercury? How many parents would not be alarmed if they knew that the mercury-based vaccine perservative thimerosal was never tested or approved by the FDA? It should be noted that the manufacturers of the flu vaccine state in their published information that accompanies the vaccine that it's never been tested on pregnant women yet it's recommended for pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy. Thimerosal goes back 75 years. It was invented and tested Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company in 1930. The one study done on thimerosal was done by Eli Lilly on 22 adult patients suffering from meningitis. There was no chance for follow-up to observe long-term effects, as all of the patients died. Even if follow-up had been possible, damage to the developing brains of very young children would have remained an unknown. Eli Lilly said it was safe and the medical community just accepted it. After the creation of the FDA, its use was simply continued. This unconscionable oversight failure should call any safety claim into question. Rebecca Estepp is right about the number of vaccines our kids receive. An ad ran in USA Today on Feb 12 and 29: Green our vaccines. And administer them with greater care.. It shows what happened to the vaccine schedule since 1983 and it lists the toxic ingredients like mercury, aluminum, MSG, ether, formaldehyde, and anti-freeze commonly found in vaccines. The soaring increase in autism directly coincided with the dramatic escalation of the number of vaccines. It's important to note that there has never been a study done on the cumulative effect of so many vaccines with toxic ingredients so soon on the health of a baby. There are lots of reasons for parents to be concerned about vaccines and serious side-effects. One of the top US doctors disgrees that the science is in on vaccines and autism. Former head of the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Bernadine Healy, was interviewed on CBS Evening News on May 12. She challenged the credibility of the CDC and admonished officials for refusing to investigate a susceptible subgroup of children who unable to eliminate the toxins in vaccines. This admission that there hasn't been enough research and that epidemiological studies are not proof is a major step toward public recognition about what's happened to our children. Healy said that officials have been too quick to dismiss a link between vaccines and autism without ever studying the group that got sick. There never have been studies done on the kids that developed symptoms of autism within a few weeks of being vaccinated. Too often all we only get to read about the opinion of health officials, especially those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For years, as the autism rate exploded from one in 10,000 kids in the 1970s to one in every 150 today, the CDC refused to sound any alarm. They still don’t know if more kids actually have autism or if they’re just the result of ‘”better diagnosing” and no real increase at all.

(The official statistics don’t come close to the reality of the autism epidemic. The rate of one in 150 was out of date when it came out in Feb. of 2007. The CDC gave us that figure based on studies of eight year olds done back in 2002 and 2000. Those children are now 14 and 16 years old. This can hardly be considered a true picture of the autism disaster. In Minnesota, the recognized rate is one in every 81 kids. Others put the average rate at one in every 67 children.

The CDC has given us years of one study after another, all showing that their vaccine program isn’t responsible for the autism epidemic. No one question the fact that we essentually give the CDC oversight over itself. All the science by independent, well-credentialed scientists showing damaging side effects from the vaccine schedule has been mounting for years but is conveniently ignored by the CDC. It should be noted that the CDC is the agency where hundreds of individuals have conflict waivers because of direct financial ties to the vaccine makers.

Rebecca Estepp is the voice of reason in the debate. How can anyone oppose the use of safe, non-toxic vaccines? How many parents would be comfortable knowing that almost all flu shots available for their children contain a horrendous level of toxic mercury? How many parents would not be alarmed if they knew that the mercury-based vaccine perservative thimerosal was never tested or approved by the FDA?

It should be noted that the manufacturers of the flu vaccine state in their published information that accompanies the vaccine that it’s never been tested on pregnant women yet it’s recommended for pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy.

Thimerosal goes back 75 years. It was invented and tested Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company in 1930. The one study done on thimerosal was done by Eli Lilly on 22 adult patients suffering from meningitis. There was no chance for follow-up to observe long-term effects, as all of the patients died. Even if follow-up had been possible, damage to the developing brains of very young children would have remained an unknown. Eli Lilly said it was safe and the medical community just accepted it. After the creation of the FDA, its use was simply continued. This unconscionable oversight failure should call any safety claim into question.

Rebecca Estepp is right about the number of vaccines our kids receive. An ad ran in USA Today on Feb 12 and 29: Green our vaccines. And administer them with greater care.. It shows what happened to the vaccine schedule since 1983 and it lists the toxic ingredients like mercury, aluminum, MSG, ether, formaldehyde, and anti-freeze commonly found in vaccines. The soaring increase in autism directly coincided with the dramatic escalation of the number of vaccines. It’s important to note that there has never been a study done on the cumulative effect of so many vaccines with toxic ingredients so soon on the health of a baby.

There are lots of reasons for parents to be concerned about vaccines and serious side-effects. One of the top US doctors disgrees that the science is in on vaccines and autism. Former head of the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Bernadine Healy, was interviewed on CBS Evening News on May 12. She challenged the credibility of the CDC and admonished officials for refusing to investigate a susceptible subgroup of children who unable to eliminate the toxins in vaccines. This admission that there hasn’t been enough research and that epidemiological studies are not proof is a major step toward public recognition about what’s happened to our children.
Healy said that officials have been too quick to dismiss a link between vaccines and autism without ever studying the group that got sick. There never have been studies done on the kids that developed symptoms of autism within a few weeks of being vaccinated. She furthermore pointed out that the Institute of Medicine which produced the cumulative study on vaccines and autism in 2004 refused to ‘pursue susceptibility groups.’ In other words, they didn’t want to find any evidence that linked vaccines to autism. She leaves us with the haunting statement: ‘The question has not been answered.’

Findings by Michael Ganz at Harvard make a chilling prediction of the future cost to our society. Ganz projects that it will cost about $3.2 million to take care of ONE autistic person over his or her lifetime. His findings are felt by others to be a gross underestimate of the eventual autism price tag.

Within the next five years, this generation of children with autism will age out into adulthood, dependent on U.S. taxpayers for their support and care.

The words of Laura Bono of the National Autism Association are a grim forecast for the future: “As those children reach adulthood, the U.S. is ill-equipped to care for them. Not only do we not have enough services for adults now, the light at the end of the tunnel is a train. Frankly, we don’t know what we’re going to do.”
