OptiVue offering free vision screenings

In anticipation of the beginning of school for Toledo children, the Kidseyes Pediatric Program at

OptiVue is offering free vision screenings for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Vision problems affect one in 20 preschoolers and one in four school-aged children.  

Many vision problems begin at an early age and if untreated can worsen and lead to permanent vision loss and delayed development.

Screenings will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following OptiVue locations:

■ Aug. 2: 1855 S. Reynolds Road Toledo

■ Aug. 9: 5733 Lewis Ave. Toledo

■ Aug. 16: 485 W. Dussel Drive, Maumee

■ Aug. 23: 2740 Navarre Ave., Oregon

No appointments are necessary for the screenings.
