Carty, CaucasianWritten by Autumn Lee | | firstname.lastname@example.org
Since Carty Finkbeiner has been called many things ("City personnel changes not racist," March 18), I tend to think that he may have reinvented himself, as this is his second tour as Toledo’s Chief Executive. In his March 18 letter to Toledo Free Press, he used the words "this Caucasian man" in reference to himself. Personally, I prefer "Cool Hand Carty" but for today’s political environment I will go with Caucasian Carty.
I do so in light of the fact that, Caucasian Carty pointed out he had "never been called a racist in 44 years." I tend to agree with his objection to that term — with qualification. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were racist businessmen (slave owners) and signers of the Constitution in 1776.
Caucasian Carty has developed a persona known as a "psychopathic racial personality." The specific scenario illustrating this behavior was the firing of Perlean Griffin for refusing to be demoted and allowing the dismantling of Affirmation Action and Minority Contract Compliance Program. Thus, his management style is to use his positional authority as the Chief Executive of the City of Toledo to maintain the status quo of white males via economic apartheid. The fact that Ms. Griffin was to work under another African American woman fits the parameters of economic apartheid for the economic manipulation using local, state or federal funding along with capitalism, colonialism, or racism to maintain the status quo for white males.
Therefore, I strongly recommend that Caucasian Carty do some research on the Internet. An inscription on the Main Library Building says: "Information is the currency of democracy." The taxpayers of the City of Toledo — be they white males or black females — elected Caucasian Carty to get results. One result that I personally seek is that I assist Mayor Finkbeiner in being a better mayor for a more democratic Toledo. All Toledoans could better appreciate less of the old Carty culture at One Government Center.
I recommend that our mayor make sure the Toledo Zoo has implemented a fair and comprehensive Affirmative Action program, as the Toledo Zoo comes to mind as a classical illustration of being a practitioner of economic apartheid during Caucasian Carty’s first tour as mayor. (That wasn’t 44 years ago either).
Lastly, I would ask that Caucasian Carty become computer literate, so it won’t take him 44 years years to know that his actions make him what some of his African Americans constituents call him!
