Blog it! Toledo

Eric Vessels at Plunderbund was an Ohio blogger that I read almost daily. He’s made the jump from being a personal blogger to being the Online Director for a new group called Progress Ohio. Eric is working with Brian Rothenberg who was the Communications Director for the Ohio Democratic Party. I’m sure that with Eric’s talent this blog will be one to watch.

While still on the subject of politics which is near and dear to my heart, a very interesting blog that a friend recommended I check out The Big Tent. The site leans to the right but contains some great information for those interested in national and other races outside of Ohio.

What is it Today is a blog on national politics that I have read for quite some time. The author is stated to work in journalism but writes her blog anonymously. The blog is more liberal in tone but is also very informative.

Red-State is the blog of Michael Meckler, who is also an author here in Ohio. His blog takes a bit more of a conservative look at Ohio politics and his latest addition of “Today in History”, as a regular feature is one I’ve enjoyed very much.

One of my favorite blogs with a more of Libertarian view of the nation is TF Stern’s Ranting’s. Despite the title, he does more than rant, one of his recent posts on the topic of Key Fairies and Tomato Fairies is a taste of what a talented writer he is.

Another Libertarian style blogger that I enjoy reading is Brad Warbiany, who is the creative talent behind The Unrepentant Individual. Now that football season has begun I turn to Brad for not only his views on politics but he does a great job with picks.

When she’s not glued to the TV screen watching the NFL, Lisa Renee can be found on her blog, Glass City Jungle. If you find a blog or have a blog you’d like her to know about, email her at glasscityjungle@gmail.com.
