Natural gas rates to decrease
Written by Staff Reports | | news@toledofreepress.comResidential customers of Columbia Gas of Ohio, in Northwest Ohio and across the state, will pay less for natural gas this February. The company has announced the February gas cost recovery (GCR) adjustment will decrease in the price of natural gas to $1.280 per thousand cubic feet. This is a decrease of $0.080 per thousand cubic feet from the January GCR adjustment of $1.361.
The average bill for a Columbia Gas of Ohio customer in February will be $274.23.
Under Ohio law, Columbia Gas of Ohio is not permitted to profit from the sale of gas to retail customers. Gas costs are passed on to retail customers on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
